The client had moved into a property with an existing pond, it contained some Koi but they were very unwell due to the lack of depth and space to grow. The filtration system was inadequate leaving the pond dirty and green in the summer and too cold in the winter. We dug the pond much deeper and extended the pond plus added a bridge as requested by the client. The client wanted a low maintenance filter but wanted crystal clear water. We opted for a new Oase drum filter which automatically cleans itself. it is big and bulky so we dug a filter pit and surrounded it with local ragstone to conceal it in the rockery but also to allow easy access when needed. Once installed we fully maintain the Koi pond for the clients.
